Ideal for families, couples or groups of friends, this full-day experience offers a beautiful paddle downstream and a nostalgic ride on the historic Severn Valley Railway.
🚂 Kick Off Your Day with a Scenic Train Ride
Start your journey with a vintage train ride through the heart of the Severn Valley. You’ll board either at:
Bewdley Station at 11:30am (if you're paddling back to Bewdley), or
Arley Station at 11:50am (if you’re finishing your canoe trip here).
Be sure to check the Severn Valley Railway timetable ahead of booking, as schedules may vary.
Once you arrive at Hampton Loade around 12:30pm, our friendly team will be ready to meet you with your canoe gear, a dry bag for your belongings, buoyancy aids and a full safety briefing before you hit the water.
🛶 Choose Your CANOE ADVENTURE
Option 1: Hampton Loade to Arley
Approx. 2 hours on the water. This gentle stretch takes you through peaceful countryside, arriving in the riverside village of Arley around 2:30pm. Perfect for a short, scenic paddle with time to stop for refreshments at:
The Harbour Inn – a lovely riverside pub with outdoor seating.
Arley Tearoom – perfect for a cuppa and cake.
Option 2: Hampton Loade to Bewdley
Approx. 4 hours on the water. Fancy making a full day of it? Continue your paddle past Arley, arriving at the charming Georgian town of Bewdley. The river meanders past rolling hills, woodlands and wildlife – keep an eye out for kingfishers and herons!
Once in Bewdley, reward yourself with a visit to:
Riverside pubs like The Mug House or The Courtyard.
Independent shops and cafés tucked along cobbled streets
A stroll across the historic Bewdley bridge.
